Jay-Z and Beyoncé have barely unpacked the boxes from the moving truck, but are already caught in the crossfire of two groups fighting over their new luxury pool.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Pool & Spa Builders entered into an agreement in March with Cuesta Estate, LLC to “install a lower infinity pool with attached spa, a dual reflecting water features area and an individual spa” at the property Bey and Jay eventually bought. Pool & Spa claim Cuesta Estate refused to pay the $87,728.92 for the pool, so they filed a construction lien on the property and are trying to force it into foreclosure.
The documents claim the total cost of installing the pool was a staggering $454,219. Of course, when the house is worth $90 million, half a million for a fancy pool ain’t so bad. The Carters bought the house in August, but since the war over their pool was already in full swing, they are unfortunately caught in the middle of the fight.
Luckily for the pool company, there’s a good chance the wealthy new homeowners will pull the lien out of the fire before it gets too far down the road.
