Sandra Bullock is among the A-list entertainers who are helping victims of Harvey, the actress has pledged $1 million to help victims of the tropical storm that has devastated the Houston area, E! News can confirm. Bullock’s generous donation will benefit the American Red Cross in its ongoing effort to help those impacted by the catastrophic flooding and destruction along the Texas Gulf Coast.

“I’m just grateful I can do it,” Bullock ,who owns a home in Austin, said in a statement. “We have to take care of one another.” Bullock is the latest celebrity to pitch in with a generous financial contribution.

Kim Kardashian and the rest of her famous family donated $500,000 to the Red Cross. Comedian Kevin Hart took to social media this week and challenged his friends to give $25,000 to the relief fund.

“I think the people are in bad shape and they need help,” Hart said in an online video, “I’m going to lead the charge and step it up in this way.” As a result, many celebrities did videos of their own and have decided to take Hart on the offer and donate $25,000. We are sure the funds will continue to pour in.
