Is there a shopaholic in the house? What you recognize it if there was–even if you saw one in the mirror? Shopaholism, also known as compulsive spending or compulsive buying, should be taken as seriously as drug, alcohol, gambling, or any other addiction. Just like other types of addictions, unchecked compulsive buying can result in addicts lying, stealing, cheating and even committing crimes to maintain the habit.
