Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford have starred in two seasons of the FOX series Lethal Weapon together. Although the show’s success kept things afloat for some time, Crawford was recast by Seann William Scott after the on set tension between the former and Wayans grew acrimonious.
Now that the show has been ordered for a third season, and Crawford is out of the picture, Wayans revealed the abuse he went through working with his former co-star. First, Wayans shared a video that shows an explosion go off to his right, while he gets injured on the opposite side of the back of his head.
With a bleeding welt on his head, Wayans claims that Crawford had a file of infractions from Warner Bros. while blaming him for the incident.
To prove that he wasn’t the only one facing abuse working with Crawford, Wayans posted a picture of a sticker. The art on the sticker was of Crawford, with the statement, “Clayne Crawford is an emotional terrorist” sprawled across the top.
The tension between the two almost led to the show being canceled. The recasting of Scott to play a new character, and the ousting of Crawford, saved Lethal Weapon. Damon Wayans has shared additional tweets in regards to Clayne Crawford’s on-set behavior, saying that Crawford has a “file of infractions.”
In one of his tweets, Wayans claims that Crawford hit an actor in the mouth with a bottle of green tea and busted his mouth open. He posted another tweet with a photo of a flyer that said “Clayne Crawford is an emotional terrorist. The caption says that he was “UNINSURABLE!” and that he “relished” in making females cry and struck fear in the cast and crew.
