The Rio Olympic Games may have been more than six months ago, but Simone Biles has declared that it is ‘never too late’ to celebrate. The 20-year-old gymnast revealed on social media that she had gone in for her very first inking on Friday – having had the Olympic rings tattooed on her forearm. But the gold medal winner didn’t go it alone for her first trip to the parlor. She was accompanied by her new next-door-neighbor Jake Miller, who went under the needle for his own new addition. ‘First tat,’ Simone wrote on Instagram, showing off her rings after the appointment. ‘Never too late to get the rings tatted. Thanks for taking me neighbor @jakemiller.’
On Jake’s Instagram story, he documented the entire process, starting with an image of Simone smiling in the car on the way to the artist. Next, Simone is show flashing an image on her phone of an Olympic rings tattoo – a design that dozens of athletes before her have had inked. Jake even snapped an image of Simone in the midst of getting the tattoo, looking totally calm. ‘What a champ,’ he wrote on the image. Finally, Simone is shown flashing a freshly tattooed forearm with a broad smile.
