Debbie Allen received the 2021 Governor’s Award at the 73rd Prime Time Emmys. The 71 year old icon was chosen for her TV achievements and her commitment to inspire and engage marginalized youth through dance, theater, arts, and mentorship.

Ms. Allen spoke in the virtual press room following to talk about her work and working on behalf of women worldwide, including the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Texas.

Kudos to host Cedric the Entertainer who brought the highest ratings for the Emmys in the last few years.
