The Senate unanimously passed a measure making Juneteenth a federal holiday. The measure now goes to the House where it is expected to pass easily.
Ebony McMorris spoke with Ms. Opal Lee, affectionately known as the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” who at the age of 94 has been advocating for the national holiday.
