(AURN News) — America’s workforce continues to face setbacks as new data shows private employers lost an average of 13,500 jobs per week over a recent four-week period. The figures, released for the week ending Nov. 8, come from ADP’s latest employment analysis.
The report is another indication that the U.S. economy is showing signs of strain.

Just weeks earlier, ADP’s national report showed that 42,000 jobs were added to the economy in October. One positive note in the latest data is that annual pay grew by 4.5%.
Among the sectors that experienced job growth were health care, education, trade, utilities and transportation. Meanwhile, leisure and hospitality, information and business services saw the largest job losses.
