(AURN News) — Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, is apologizing again for antisemitic behavior.
He took out a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal on Monday saying he regretted his actions and hoped to be forgiven by “those I’ve hurt.”
Ye wrote, “I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”
He blamed his recent behavior — including praising Adolf Hitler — on untreated bipolar I disorder, saying he stopped taking medication and went through what he described as a four-month manic episode in 2025.
He also claimed the disorder was caused by a brain injury from his 2002 car crash, though experts say there is little evidence head injuries cause bipolar disorder, according to The New York Times.
Ye also apologized to Black people, writing, “I am so sorry to have let you down.”
He said medication and therapy are now working.
