WASHINGTON (AURN News) — Vice President JD Vance is urging voters to give Republicans more time in office as the November midterm elections approach.
“Give us another chance or give us another couple of years to continue to work on the amazing things that we’ve been doing for the past two years,” Vance said.
Vance made the remarks this week on the All-In Podcast as Republicans campaign to retain control of Congress in the November midterms.
Vance told the host, “Don’t give power to the people who cause the problems that we’re fixing,” before asking voters to give Republicans more time.
His comments come less than 50 days before the midterm elections, as recent polling shows Democrats holding an advantage among voters in congressional races.
An Economist/YouGov poll cited in the segment had Democrats leading Republicans 44% to 39% on the congressional ballot. Democrats quickly seized on Vance’s remarks.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., responded directly on X, writing, “Vance to America: Republicans have failed but give us another chance.”
In the same X post, Jeffries added, “Get Lost.”
With control of Congress at stake in November, Vance’s remarks underscore the stakes of the closing weeks of the midterm campaign.
