(AURN News) — With four days until the midterm elections, President Donald Trump’s remarks at a Thursday rally in Rock Hill, S.C., are drawing attention after he targeted Black and Jewish voters who support Democrat Abdul El-Sayed.
“If you’re Black or if you’re Jewish, and if you vote for Abdul, you’re crazy. Okay? You’re crazy. You’re crazy anyway,” Trump said.

El-Sayed is running against Republican Mike Rogers for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat.
Trump also repeated his claim that El-Sayed is tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, which El-Sayed has repeatedly denied. If El-Sayed wins, he’d be the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Senate.
But this isn’t new. In 2024, Trump delivered a similar message to Black, Hispanic and Jewish voters who backed Kamala Harris: “Have your head examined.”

Rogers is courting Black voters in and around Detroit who backed El-Sayed’s primary opponent, Haley Stevens, according to Reuters. But insulting the very voters Republicans are trying to win could undermine that outreach.
