After months of back and forth, GOP contender Herschel Walker has finally agreed to debate Sen. Raphael Warnock. However, Walker’s recent comments have some people raising eyebrows.

According to the Savannah Morning News, on Sept. 16, Walker told a reporter while touring the Port of Savannah, “I’m a country boy. I’m not that smart. He’s a preacher. (Warnock) is smart and wears these nice suits. So, he is going to show up and embarrass me at the debate Oct. 14th, and I’m just waiting to show up and I will do my best.”

It should be noted Walker is also the same person who claimed he graduated in the top 1% of his class at the University of Georgia, which was proven to be a lie, according to CNN. The candidates will debate on Oct. 14 in Savannah. It’s unclear if Walker will commit to a second debate.
