Ananda Lewis, Beloved MTV VJ and Talk Show Host, Dies at 52

According to People, Ananda Lewis has died at the age of 52. The former MTV VJ and talk show host rose to fame in the late 1990s, becoming a defining face of the network through shows like “Total Request Live” and “Hot Zone.” 

Before MTV, she hosted “Teen Summit” on BET and later launched her own daytime talk show. 

In 2020, Lewis revealed a stage III breast cancer diagnosis, which eventually progressed to stage IV. She was outspoken about her approach to treatment and the importance of prevention. 

A Howard University graduate, Lewis hosted various reality and entertainment shows, and raised her son, Langston.
