Beyonce gave fans a rare look at three of the children she shares with long-time husband Jay-Z ahead of the release of her new album Renaissance. Well, the 40-year-old superstar included a sweet snap of daughter Blue Ivy, who by the way is 10 already, and five-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, sleeping beside her in bed.
Beyonce went on to publicly thank her kids, husband, and other close family for giving her the space, creativity, and inspiration she needed to create her latest work. She said that her seventh studio album came to be as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beyonce explained that like everybody else she was escaping the uncertainty of what was to come. Unfortunately, ahead of her album release came leaks of Renaissance songs and now accusations of theft from Kelis. Kelis says that Beyonce did not clear the track for “Energy” and it samples Kalise’s “Get Along With You,” which the Neptunes produced for Kalise way back in 1999. The song is understandably close to her heart.
Kalise is now saying that she is fuming mad and that “Energy” is downright robbery, insinuating that everyone involved with creating and clearing the track was engaged in shady practices. All righty. I don’t know how this one’s going to work out, but I am sure the lawyers are now speaking. Anyway, congratulations to Beyonce for the Renaissance album. Can’t wait to hear it.
Some retired sports players go on into coaching, others broadcasting. But for Dwight Howard, when he finally hangs up his jersey, the NBA star might have a future in WWE. The seven-foot-tall Howards showed up to try out and cut an incredible promo, according to TMZ Sports. He has apparently been a WWE fan for a long time.
He was with his superstar friend, Titus O’Neil, and decided that he might as well try out while he was down there. Well, I don’t know if we’ll see him in the future. I honestly don’t think he’s ready to hang up that NBA jersey at the moment, but you never know.
And back-to-school season is just around the corner and Kevin Hart decided to help some families get ready. The 43-year-old actor and comedian teamed up with The Children’s Place and helped cut the ribbon for the first community learning center at New York parks in East Harlem. Kevin went on and lent a helping hand by giving away free school supplies to families, while also reading from his 2021 children’s book, Marcus Makes a Movie.
Hart said at the ceremony for the center, which included over 2,000 new books, that The Children’s Place will also be opening nine more learning centers across the country through the fall of 2022. And good for Kevin, I love it when celebrities really help out where it counts.
