Notable scholar and lifelong activist Cornel West has just thrown his hat into the ring for the 2024 presidential election, rallying under the People’s Party banner.

West took to Twitter to announce his bold decision. His mission: to reintroduce America to its best self. His promises include ending poverty, wars, mass incarceration, and the looming ecological disaster while guaranteeing healthcare, housing, quality education, and living wages for all Americans. His message was clear: “The quest for truth and justice… the foundations of my life shall continue to steer this presidential journey.”

West, now an emeritus professor at Princeton and a Union Theological Seminary academic, affirmed his stance through an energetic video announcement.

The People’s Party is an emerging independent party, striving to extend peace, healthcare, housing, and quality education for all.
