Amsterdam is a new movie, written and directed by David O. Russell, and refers to the events of a memorable Dutch idol back in 1918. Well, toward the end of the First World War, two wounded American servicemen, Burt Berendsen (Christian Bale) and Harold Woodman (John David Washington), and a nurse, Valerie Voze (Margot Robbie), overseeing their recovery in the city of Amsterdam, which becomes a temporary refuge and a playground.

The movie has not had great critical acclaim, but I’ve got to tell you, the cast is amazing. Amsterdam is in theaters now.
