New York Attorney General Letitia James has announced a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump.

“The complaint demonstrates that Donald Trump falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to unjustly enrich himself and to cheat the system, thereby cheating all of us.”

James said the ex-president’s children, including Donald Trump Jr., helped him in that effort. She wants a quarter of a billion-dollar judgment. The lawsuit alleges former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg carried out Trump’s desire to inflate his net worth. Now, Trump’s former top cop says the lawsuit against him is a stunt.

“It’s a political hit job. And this is a woman who campaigned for office saying that promising she was gonna go after Trump,” former United States Attorney General Bill Barr said.

Meanwhile, the New York AG had one simple message for the former president:

“No one, my friend, is above the law,” James said.
