With just eight days left until Election Day, Americans need to be more and more aware of voter suppression tactics. On Yung Joc and the Streetz Morning Takeover, I spoke with Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who serves as the co-chair for the Harris campaign, about what she’s seeing.

“Texas just made it absolutely lawful for these poll watchers to roll up and have their guns at the polling locations, and that is a form of voter intimidation. We also know that they’ve started supporting put out ads in our Black papers putting out the wrong dates and the wrong information.”

According to the Economic Policy Institute, between 2013 and 2023, 29 states have passed 94 restrictive voting laws to limit Black and brown voting access. They are eliminating same-day voter registration, reducing early voting periods, removing polling places, and purging voters from registration lists. Not to mention the continuous lies of widespread voter fraud.
