“We must be vigilant and we must stand shoulder to shoulder to ensure that every voice is represented in a way that allows them equal access to all that they need.”

The nation’s top civil rights leaders and reproductive rights and justice organizations met with Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss the harmful impacts of the U.S. Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade.

At least 16 states have taken steps to ban abortion. During the meeting, Vice President Harris again slammed the decision, saying, “With the Supreme Court having made the decision in Dobbs to take a constitutional right that had been recognized from the women of America has created a healthcare crisis in America.”

On MSNBC’s Meet the Press earlier in the week, she praised the work of previous justices, stating, “We had an established right for almost half a century.”
