“Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” star James “Tim” Norman insists he is innocent of conspiring to have his nephew, Andre Montgomery Jr., killed to collect on a life insurance policy. The 21-year-old was fatally shot outside of a St. Louis apartment complex in 2016.

In a Feb. 23 Instagram post, Norman wrote, “I’m still in disbelief. The feds knew 100% I did not do those insurance policies. But the jury didn’t get to hear that.”

In September, a St. Louis, Missouri, jury found Norman guilty and on March 2 he was sentenced to two life sentences. According to The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, U.S. District Judge John Ross said before sentencing, “It was a cold-blooded, incredibly premeditated, planned execution of your nephew.”
