WASHINGTON (AURN News) — Americans are continuing to feel the impact of rising costs, from higher gas prices to more expensive groceries, as concerns grow over the economic effects of the war in Iran and U.S. trade policy.

New data from the Pew Research Center shows that many Americans lack confidence in President Donald Trump’s handling of trade.

According to the survey, 58% say they are “not too or not at all confident” in the president’s ability to make good decisions on trade.

Pew also reports that 63% have “little or no confidence” in his handling of tariff policy.

The survey found that 42% believe China continues to benefit more than the United States when it comes to trade.
