(AURN News) WASHINGTON — AURN is on the scene at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 54th Annual Legislative Conference, one of the largest gatherings of Black political power and policy in the nation.

This year’s theme is “Made for This Moment.” Power, policy, and progress are on display this morning as stations and vendors set up for the thousands of people expected to descend on the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

For more than five decades, the CBCF has used the Annual Legislative Conference to push solutions on issues shaping Black America — from protecting voting rights and closing the racial wealth gap to defending diversity, equity and inclusion programs under attack.

Each year, the foundation releases a policy agenda — a blueprint that lays out priorities on health care, education, economic opportunity and criminal justice. Organizers say the goal is simple: to turn dialogue into action and ensure policy reflects the lived experiences of Black communities.
