Fox News host Tucker Carlson has released never before seen security video of the attack on the United States Capitol. He claims that most of the rioters were peaceful on that day in 2021, calling it “mostly peaceful chaos.”

But North Dakota Republican Senator Kevin Cramer is not having it.

“When you come into the chambers, when you start opening members’ desks, when you stand up in their balcony, to somehow put that in the same category as a, you know, permitted, peaceful protest is just a lie,” Cramer said.

In addition, U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger is slamming Carlson for trying to downplay the January 6 attack. He says Carlson cherry-picked calmer moments within the tens of thousands of hours of footage and that the most disturbing accusation was that Officer Brian Sicknick’s death had nothing to do with the riot.

Sicknick suffered two strokes and died a day after confronting rioters. Multiple deaths have been tied to the events of January 6, along with roughly a thousand arrests.
