Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis gave emotional testimony in the hearing to determine whether she should be tossed from former President Donald Trump’s Georgia election subversion case. She was being pressed about vacations she took with Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade.
Wade earlier took the stand in a hearing to determine whether Willis should be tossed from Donald Trump’s Georgia election case because of their romantic relationship. Wade said they split the cost of trips to Aruba, Napa, Belize, and a cruise, and Willis paid in cash. But they could not produce receipts.
Willis also said she doesn’t have bank receipts but she has always had a lot of cash inside of her home and used that to pay for the trips. She added that she is not the one on trial. Earlier, Willis said all the accusations against her were lies.
