(AURN News) — A new poll suggests Vice President Kamala Harris may be energizing voters in the 2024 presidential race. The survey, conducted by Morning Consult for Bloomberg News, shows Harris either ahead of or tied with former President Donald Trump in seven important swing states.
The poll asked voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin who they would pick if the election were held today. These states are crucial swing states. Harris leads Trump in six of the seven swing states while only tying in one. In Michigan, Harris led Trump by 3 percentage points among registered voters. In Wisconsin she led by 8 points and Pennsylvania, she was ahead by 4 points. Harris tied Trump in Arizona. In Georgia, Harris leads Trump by 2 percent, she leads in Nevada by 4 percent, and by 2 percent in North Carolina.
The survey spoke to 4,956 voters who are likely to vote in the 2024 general election. It was done from August 23 to August 27.
