According to a new report, national voter registration data shows that Vice President Kamala Harris’ historic role has significantly motivated Black voters, especially young Black women, to register for the upcoming election at unprecedented levels.

In 13 key states, the voter registration rate for Black women has surged by over 175% compared to the same time in 2020, nearly tripling in four years, according to data firm Target Smart.

Additionally, voter registrations for Black women of all ages have increased by more than 98%, with an 85% rise among all Black voters.

These unusually high registration rates highlight the growing political engagement within the Black community.
