An exclusive from The Daily Beast reports that Herschel Walker, who is attempting to unseat Sen. Raphael Warnock in the Georgia Senate race, paid for an abortion in 2009. The outlet obtained a bank deposit receipt with an image of a signed $700 personal check from Walker and a “get well” card from the former NFL player to the woman, who did not want to go public.

The latest development does not appear to be in line with Walker’s politics. The Georgia Senate candidate has said he supports abortion bans without any exceptions for rape, incest or the health of the mother.

Walker has denied paying for an abortion and has threatened to sue The Daily Beast.

Christian Walker, Herschel Walker’s son, slammed his father on social media. He has accused his father of lying and atrocities against his mother.
