In the ‘you just can’t make this stuff up’ category, Suge Knight has a new podcast. Yep, he is still in jail serving a 28 year sentence, but apparently that doesn’t matter. He made a deal with David Mays from Source Magazine. The podcast is called Collect Call With Suge Knight.
After one episode, as you might guess, there is some drama, because it’s Suge Knight. Suge is making audacious claims about Akon, accusing him of raping underage girls in the studio. Akon has refuted the claims in a statement to TMZ Hip Hop, saying the claims are false and he is not standing for the slander.
“I need to make it very clear that I absolutely deny these outrageous false and disgusting claims Suge Knight made on his podcast about me,” he said.
Akon goes on to say that he has never had any contact with Suge since he’s been incarcerated, and the voice that you heard on his podcast was a soundbite previously recorded from an interview that Akon did with DJ Vlad three years ago regarding Suge Knight and this incident that happened back in 2009.
Of course, as you might guess, Akon has gotten his legal team involved. They are filing a defamation lawsuit against Knight. I don’t know what that’s going to mean because he’s already in jail, but anyway, he says that he is still praying for Suge and he will continue to do that.
As for the backstory to all of this, in 2009, Suge was left KO’d on the pavement and a man in Akon’s camp, Robert Carnes Jr., was arrested for a felony assault that happened in Scottsdale, Arizona. And as they say, the beat goes on. Personally, I don’t think Suge will ever get out of jail, so glad he’s got a podcast.
Deion Sanders Advocates for Robbed Players: Calls for NCAA and Rose Bowl to Reimburse Stolen Goods
University of Colorado football coach Deion Sanders is speaking out about his players being robbed of their personal items at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. This happened last weekend.
It was a really big game here for all of us in LA as Colorado played and lost to UCLA. But ESPN is reporting that Sanders has called on the NCAA and the Rose Bowl to reimburse the athletes who were robbed of jewelry and cash as their locker room was raided during the game.
He said, “This is the Rose Bowl. They say the Granddaddy of them all, right? I’m sure Granddaddy has some money. Grandpa should have some money to give his kids… They may not be able to get the items back. But we should be able to reimburse them. That was unbelievable.”
Most of the players didn’t have insurance for the stolen items. A report was filed with the Pasadena Police Department regarding the robbery. ESPN is reporting on all of this. I hope those kids get their stuff back. Come on, y’all.

Britney Spears’ Memoir Hits 1.1 Million Sales in First Week
Britney Spears’ memoir, “The Woman in Me,” has sold 1.1 million copies in the U.S. alone, and that was just the first week. She, of course, is grateful to her fans and readers around the world for their unwavering support. I guess you could call it that.
The sales figures include pre-orders, print sales, ebooks, and audiobooks. “The Woman in Me,” released October 24, has been praised by critics as a compelling account of Britney’s rise to global fame and her ongoing struggles, including the conservatorship that lasted for years as her father was in control of much of her life.
And she, of course, told about that abortion while dating Justin Timberlake more than 20 years ago. I think that’s what sold the book. Anyway, the good news is that people are still reading books. How about that?
