(AURN News) — “Without any plan, any objective, any exit strategy, has gotten us into this reckless war of choice in the Middle East,” House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries said.
Jeffries, speaking just hours after new fighting escalated in the Middle East, linked rising costs at home to what he called “reckless” decisions abroad and blasted the Trump administration for what he described as a “war of choice” with no clear strategy.
He also said Republicans are making life more expensive at home, pointing to what Democrats call the largest Medicaid cuts in U.S. history, impacting more than 14 million Americans and raising premiums for more than 20 million others after refusing to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits.
Jeffries also pushed back on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act debate now taking shape in the Senate, calling it a distraction rooted in voter suppression, not election integrity.
