(AURN News) — First Lady Melania Trump denied any connection to financier and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in a public statement, saying she had no knowledge of his crimes.
“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today. I never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time. I am not Epstein’s victim,” she said.
She acknowledged sending a casual email to Epstein’s former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, but said it was insignificant.
She emphasized she never visited Epstein’s properties and was never on his plane. She also called on Congress to hold public hearings for Epstein’s victims.
“Give these victims their opportunity to testify under oath in front of Congress with the power of sworn testimony. Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story,” she said.
