More bad news for President Joe Biden after a New York Times/Siena College poll shows 64% of Democrats say they believe the party should nominate a different candidate for president in 2024. Among young adults, 94% of those surveyed between the ages of 18 and 29 say they would prefer a new candidate.
The economy and inflation were among the chief areas of concern for Democratic voters. According to the New York Times, only 13% of respondents say they believe the country is on the right track. That is the lowest since the height of the last major financial crisis a decade ago.
The poll was conducted by telephone, July 5th through 7th, among a sampling of 848 registered voters.
