(AURN News) — When will the Israeli-U.S. war with Iran end? More than two weeks into the conflict, the answer remains unclear.

President Donald Trump recently told reporters, “It’ll be as long as it’s necessary.”

But Iran’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, has made clear that Tehran has its own conditions for ending the war.

“Talking to leaders of Russia and Pakistan, I reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to peace in the region,” Pezeshkian posted on X.

“The only way to end this war — ignited by the Zionist regime & US — is recognizing Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm int’l guarantees against future aggression.”

President Trump is also making big claims on social media.

“The Fake News Media hates to report how well the United States Military has done against Iran, which is totally defeated and wants a deal — But not a deal that I would accept!” Trump wrote.

But despite the president’s unsubstantiated claims about the media, Americans are not sold on his war.
A recent poll from The Washington Post found that 42% support the military campaign against Iran, compared with 40% who oppose it and 17% who are unsure.

When asked, “Do you think the U.S. should continue military strikes against Iran, or should it stop military strikes at this time?” 42% said the strikes should stop compared with 34% who say they should continue and 24% who are unsure.
