(AURN News) — A shift in the Middle East as President Donald Trump officially declares the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement is completely over.
“To me, I think it’s over. I don’t wanna deal with them anymore. They’re scum. You know what scum is? They’re scum. They’re sick people. They’re led by sick people, and they’re, they’re vicious, violent people, and if they had a nuclear weapon, they’d use it.”
“As far as I’m concerned, it’s over.”
Speaking at the NATO summit, Trump branded ongoing diplomatic negotiations as a waste of time.
The sudden collapse comes after a rapid 48-hour cycle of violence. It began when Iran allegedly attacked commercial tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, prompting the U.S. to revoke critical Iranian oil licenses.
Then the situation developed into major military strikes. U.S. forces hit more than 80 targets in Iran, while Tehran retaliated by bombing U.S. military assets in Kuwait and Bahrain.
Trump is warning more strikes are coming tonight, swearing that Iran broke a promise to never build nuclear weapons.
