(AURN News) — A new poll shows Americans’ views on President Donald Trump‘s economic policies and immigration stance as he navigates his second term in office.
The CBS News/YouGov poll indicates that a majority of Americans feel the administration is not doing enough to address high prices. According to the survey, 64% of respondents said the Trump administration is not focusing enough on lowering prices, while 55% felt that the administration was concentrating too much on tariffs.
When asked about their personal financial situations under Trump’s policies, only 23% said they felt better off financially, while 42% said they felt worse off. Meanwhile, 35% of those surveyed said their financial standing remained unchanged.
The poll also sheds light on public perceptions of inflation. Among respondents, 38% said they believed policies from former President Joe Biden were responsible for the current inflation rate, while 34% attributed it to Trump’s policies. Another 19% said both were equally responsible.
On key policy issues, Trump’s handling of immigration received a slight majority approval, with 53% expressing support. However, his approach to economic matters and inflation fared less favorably. The poll also found that 52% of respondents disapprove of his handling of the economy, while 56% disapprove of his response to inflation.
