WASHINGTON (AURN News) — Three days after voters handed Democrats control of Congress, President Donald Trump announced a White House shake-up on Truth Social. Trump said Friday that Susie Wiles, the first woman to serve as White House chief of staff, would leave the post. Stephen Miller, the architect of the administration’s hard-line immigration agenda, will take her place Monday.

Wiles will stay on to work on the president’s political operations. Miller is one of Trump’s most loyal aides. The Southern Poverty Law Center published an extremist profile of him in 2020, citing his role in shaping Trump’s immigration policies.
The staffing change comes one day after Trump signed a proclamation declaring the Oval Office, which he redecorated with gold accents, a national monument.
Voters sent a message about the economy on Tuesday, but two of the White House’s first moves after the election were about decor and loyalty.
