WASHINGTON (AURN News) — New national polling shows President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to the lowest level of his political career.
Two separate national polls released this week show similar results: a Reuters/Ipsos poll found Trump’s approval rating at 32%, while a CNN poll conducted by SSRS found his approval rating at 33%.
The data shows a sharp downward trend driven by intense voter frustration over inflation, high energy prices and the ongoing military conflict in Iran.
The president previously relied on a rock-solid base but is now seeing that support erode in key battleground states. Political analysts say these numbers put House and Senate Republicans in serious jeopardy in November.
Inside the West Wing, aides are reportedly scrambling to pivot their messaging, but economists warn that until the cost of living stabilizes, the political bleeding may not stop.
The White House argues that Trump’s economic policies are positioning the U.S. for long-term growth.
