When asked directly about the Jeffrey Epstein files, President Donald Trump — in a clip that’s gone viral — brushed off the question and pivoted, blaming former President Barack Obama for treason and alleging he tried to take down Trump’s 2016 campaign through the Russia investigation.

“The witch hunt that you should be talking about is they caught President Obama absolutely cold — Tulsi Gabbard — what they did to this country in 2016, starting in 2016, but going up all the way, going up to 2020 of the election. They tried to rig the election and they got caught, and there should be very severe consequences for that,” Trump told the media during a visit with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Philippines.

But the thing is, the question was about Epstein — the files, the victims, the coverups — and Trump didn’t answer.

This comes as pressure builds from Trump’s own MAGA base, demanding transparency around Epstein’s ties to elites.

The Justice Department says no Epstein “client list” exists, but that hasn’t stopped the firestorm.
