(AURN News) — Over the weekend, President Donald Trump announced the launch of the “Trump Gold Card,” an immigration initiative that would allow individuals or corporations to gain legal residency in exchange for large financial contributions.
“Today we are proud to announce THE TRUMP GOLD CARD,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The Card will be available for $1 Million Dollars for individuals, and $2 Million Dollars for Corporations.”
The Trump Gold Card would allow applicants to receive lawful permanent resident status as EB-1 or EB-2 visa holders. Trump said the program is designed to shift immigration benefits toward legal entrants.
“For far too long, we have had millions of Illegal Aliens pouring into our Country, and our Immigration System was broken,” he wrote. “It is beyond time that the American People, and American Taxpayers, are benefitting from our LEGAL Immigration System.”
He claimed the program would raise more than $100 billion quickly, which would be used for “reducing Taxes, Pro Growth Projects, and paying down our Debt.”
The official website, trumpcard.gov, also advertises a “Trump Platinum Card.” That offer allows applicants, after DHS vetting and a $5 million contribution, to spend up to 270 days in the U.S. without being taxed on non-U.S. income.
