Two Black pharmacists from Jacksonville, Florida have started a beard care company selling products made for men of color. Dr. Derick McElveen and Dr. Theron Douglas saw a need when it came to more products for Black men. They recently launched the Everyday Fresh Club.
Dr. Douglas spoke with AURN News about the impact they believe their product will have:
“From ideation to manifestation, you know, there’s a gap and kind of traversing the ups and downs of figuring out how to get to market, how to get to sales, how to build a digital store, what it means to troubleshoot that, you know, it’s been a journey. And to have the privilege to be considered to care for other men in the way that I care for myself, and then maybe even have an opportunity for them to see the value that we’ve seen and tried to put into the product. You know, it’s a privilege.”
