A federal judge denied Sean “Diddy” Combs’ $50 million bond request, ruling that he must remain jailed until sentencing. The judge cited concerns about flight risk, public safety and evidence of violence linked to Combs’ prostitution-related conviction.
Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering but convicted on two prostitution-related charges. Prosecutors said he used his fame to force women into drug-fueled sex acts.
Four women testified about abuse, including video showing Combs assaulting singer Cassie. His lawyers argued the acts were consensual and said harsh jail conditions warranted release.
The judge disagreed, saying Combs didn’t show “exceptional circumstances” to justify bail. Sentencing is set for October, with a possible 10-year prison term.
