(AURN News) — The drama surrounding President Donald Trump’s tariffs continues.
A new poll from The Guardian and The Harris Poll shows that 72% of Americans say his tariffs are having a negative impact. Of those surveyed, 67% said tariffs are not the right solution for improving the economy.
But what about Republicans, the demographic where Trump enjoys his highest support and approval? When it comes to tariffs, the numbers still raise concerns.
The poll found that 64% of Republicans said the policy has led to higher prices for Americans, and 60% said it has had a more negative impact on consumers than a positive one.
