(AURN News) — According to Billboard, the Grammy Museum’s new exhibit, “Tower of Song: Iconic Songwriters & Recordings,” will spotlight artifacts tied to some of the most influential Black artists in music history.
Opening May 28, the exhibit will include Prince’s gold-rimmed glasses from “Purple Rain” and a lace shirt worn during the “Purple Rain” tour.
Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation 1814” will be represented through the synthesizers used by legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to create its signature sound.
The exhibit will also feature Miles Davis’s trumpet, mouthpiece and monogrammed leather carrying case. Earth, Wind & Fire’s classic “September” and Bill Withers’ legacy will also be honored, including one of Withers’ acoustic guitars.
