(AURN News) — With 13 days until Election Day, the NAACP is bringing former Vice President Kamala Harris to Milwaukee and Atlanta to help turn community concerns into votes. Harris and NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson will headline town halls Oct. 26 in Milwaukee and Oct. 29 in Atlanta.
The organization says the conversations will connect national policy to what families experience at home, give residents a chance to discuss their priorities, and provide nonpartisan voter education resources.

For Black communities, the focus is both getting to the ballot box and staying engaged after the votes are counted. Johnson says the NAACP’s organizing and voting rights work continues beyond Election Day.
The events follow a September voter education gathering with Harris in Detroit. Times and venues for the upcoming stops have not yet been announced.
