WASHINGTON (AURN News) — The White House has removed another journalist from presidential travel coverage following an Oval Office exchange with President Donald Trump. The Independent’s Andrew Feinberg was dropped from the press pool assigned to cover today’s Iowa trip. The decision followed an Oval Office exchange in which Trump berated him over his questioning.

The White House Correspondents’ Association condemned the removal as retaliation. Pool journalists share their reporting with other newsrooms, helping the public follow the president when access is limited. The administration maintains that access to presidential facilities is a privilege and accuses some outlets of dishonest reporting.
Meanwhile, CNN is threatening further legal action over its continued exclusion from Air Force One. Trump barred CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House in September, accusing them of reporting “fake news.” A federal judge later ordered their White House press credentials restored, but the dispute over Air Force One access continues.
The fight over who gets to cover the president keeps growing, with voters 12 days from Election Day.
