In a shocking revelation, North Carolina’s Republican gubernatorial nominee, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, is facing allegations of posting disturbing comments on a pornographic website over a decade ago. According to reports, he used an anonymous username, allegedly made inflammatory statements supporting slavery, referred to himself as a “black Nazi,” and shared inappropriate memories from his teenage years.

Robinson has denied the claims, stating that the comments are not his and also blaming possible artificial intelligence. However, it’s not the first time he’s been in the spotlight for controversial remarks. The potential fallout from these allegations could impact not only Robinson’s campaign but also other Republicans on the ballot, including former President Donald Trump.

North Carolina is a crucial state, and any toxicity from Robinson’s campaign could have a ripple effect. But despite the controversy, Robinson is still in the race against North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein. Democrats are already using the news to connect Robinson to Trump, who has praised Robinson in the past.
