Kanye West is temporarily stepping back from the music industry, according to one of his collaborators who made the claim in an interview with Complex that was published this week. The rapper known as Vory worked with West on his song “Daylight.” He says that the icon is taking a year off as he works on battling his demons and addresses family problems.
Vory said he spoke to Kanye this week through his best friend who is also Kanye’s assistant. Vory also said that Kanye doesn’t really want to talk to anybody right now. But he did say he learned a lot from Kanye. In addition to their collaboration on his latest album, which was released last week, Vory is also featured on several tracks on Kanye’s “Donda” album, which he followed up with “Donda 2.”
Unfortunately, “Donda 2” is only available on Kanye’s $200 Stem Player. Anyway, Vory does praise the rapper turned fashion star for helping legitimize his vision. And he said that he’s just happy that Kanye is going to try to get himself together.
In other news, Hollywood star Nick Cannon, who once dismissed monogamy as a Eurocentric concept, is expecting his ninth child while awaiting the birth of his eighth. Cannon and Abby De La Rosa are pregnant with Cannon’s latest child. They already share twin sons, Zillion and Zion, who will turn one year old this month.
Cannon is also expecting another baby with Bri Tessa. So much for the celibacy pledge made by Cannon back in November. He had three children by different women in 2021. It looks like in 2022, he could break his own record. Happy early Father’s Day to Nick.
