Sen. Alex Padilla was abruptly escorted from Secretary Kristi Noem’s immigration briefing Thursday as he attempted to demand answers on the administration’s immigration policies.
Video shows a Secret Service agent grabbing Padilla’s lapel, followed by a team of officers wrestling him to the floor and snapping on handcuffs — only to release him later.
Padilla, whose parents immigrated from Mexico, has slammed the president’s deportation tactics for tearing families apart.
“Trump isn’t targeting criminals in his mass deportation agenda, he is terrorizing communities, breaking apart families and putting American citizens in harms way,” he wrote on X.
