Trump Faces Widespread Disapproval at One Year

(AURN News) — As President Donald Trump marks the first year of his second term, a new poll from CNN shows rising disapproval among Americans.


The survey found Trump’s overall disapproval rating at 61%. When asked about the issues facing the country, respondents expressed widespread dissatisfaction with the president’s performance.


Breaking down the disapproval, 35% of respondents said Trump’s temperament and personal behavior were the most important reasons for their negative assessment.


On health care policy, 63% of Americans disapprove of how Trump is handling the issue, the highest disapproval rating on health care across both of his terms. On immigration, 58% disapprove. On tariffs, one of Trump’s top priorities, 62% of respondents said they disapprove.


The poll also found disapproval of Vice President JD Vance’s performance. Fifty-eight percent of those surveyed said they disapprove of how he is handling his job.
