(AURN News) — The movie “Moonlight” is returning to theaters for its 10th anniversary, according to Deadline.
A24 will re-release Barry Jenkins’ Oscar-winning film on Oct. 2 in a newly remastered 4K version.
Jenkins announced the news during a special screening at a film festival. The rerelease will also feature an exclusive conversation with Jenkins and Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali.
Released in 2016, “Moonlight” went on to win Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor for Ali and Best Adapted Screenplay for Jenkins and Tarell Alvin McCraney.
The film also won four NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Independent Motion Picture, Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Writing for Jenkins and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Ali.
The film earned about $65.3 million worldwide. Tickets for the anniversary release go on sale Sept. 9.
