WASHINGTON (AURN News) — With five weeks until Election Day in the high-stakes midterms, the latest Quinnipiac University national poll is what polling analyst Tim Malloy described as a “warning light flashing red” for Republicans, with President Donald Trump’s approval rating at 34%.

Sixty-one percent of registered voters disapprove of Trump’s performance, matching the highest disapproval Quinnipiac has recorded for him.

The poll also shows Trump’s approval on the economy at 31%, an all-time low across both of his terms.

On control of the U.S. House, 51% of registered voters said they want Democrats to win, compared with 39% who said Republicans — a 12-point advantage for Democrats.

As the administration fights to reclaim the economic narrative, the polling collapse signals a deeper voter exhaustion that could reshape the balance of power on Nov. 3.
